Terrorcotta Tanker

Concept
Survival HorrorFirst Person

An oil tanker adrift at sea, abandoned, with a cargo of ancient stone warriors still aboard. You're alone on it with them, a long way from anywhere, on a vessel that was never designed to be walked at night.

The enemies move only when outside your direct line of sight. Keep your eyes on a statue and it holds still. Look away and it advances, and you'll know it happened by sound before you see it: the scrape of ceramic on metal, a resonant hum that carries through the hull, and then silence when it has stopped and is waiting. The audio is the primary tension system, and it does most of the work.

Health is fixed at five points, with no recovery and nothing to pick up that will give any of it back. Every hand that reaches you takes something, and the ship doesn't return it. Checkpoints preserve your current state, whatever state that happens to be by the time you reach one.
