Okay, the SEO gods need something and it’s been far too long since I’ve actually done anything note-worthy on the game dev front.
With “the pandemic” and all that, life has been a little chaotic, and I’ve needed to take some time to get things in order. This usually meant working flat-out for clients, taking care of my mental health (i.e. getting off the computer or socialising with friends via Discord/Twitch), and the game dev has taken a back seat in active development.
Luckily, I’ve been working on the projects as and when I can, mainly when I’ve had the time and motivation, but I’ve also hired freelancers to work on a few assets for Adventure Knight.
Adventure Knight is probably my main focus, as it’s quite a large project in the grand scheme of things, but I’ve still got Pixel Pets and Prayer Never Ceasing in the works (the former just shy of a release, the latter needing the most work).
That being said, I may look at polishing off Pixel Pets soon for a soft-alpha release, as I’ve got some ideas of where I want to take that project, and it starting to garner some interest may keep me motivated in working on that.
PNC definately needs more work, but that’s a very story-driven game, and needs the care it deserves.
I’ve got an eye on a few other freelancers which may help in different areas, as it seems I’m taking more of a director/producer role in the games industry rather than a dev role (thanks to my web clients), but hopefully I’ll be able to kick things up a notch soon.
Apart from that, I hope to write up a few more reviews on the games I’ve played. A bit late to the party on some of them, but hey, it helps.
What doesn’t help is that I’ve got far too many ideas floating around in my head!
